Firefly Sunset Resort offers five beautiful vacation cottages and
villas designed for couples, families, and friends.
Mint To Be, our romantic honeymoon suite, with its private plunge pool, sits on the edge of a beautiful coral cliff, almost suspended over the Sea of Abaco. Our three two-bedroom, two-bath cottages, Butterfly, Dragonfly, and Firefly, are designed with modern, tropical interiors and provide beautiful, elevated views overlooking the Sea of Abaco. Java Rum Plantation House boasts three bedrooms and two bathrooms and is just a few steps from the white sandy beach. It is decorated with rich Brazilian wood and rustic island decor.
The famous Firefly Bar & Grill is on-site and open to locals and visitors every Tuesday through Sunday for lunch and dinner. We also have a resort boutique, a private beach,
two pools, dock slips, on-site reef, cornhole, kayaking, and more.

The restaurant and bar are closed on Mondays.
The Boutique is open 10 am- 4 pm on Mondays.
Our upper pool is exclusive to our villa guests and closed to the public.
All restaurant to-go orders must be placed in The Boutique by 8 pm Tuesday-Sunday.
Our Glowing Story
Looking to get away from it all? Want to celebrate a honeymoon or birthday? Need a perfect place for the family to get together? Then Firefly Sunset Resort is waiting for you. Located on the Sea of Abaco in the Bahamas, we opened quietly in late 2010 and celebrated our grand opening in 2011. We boast five beautiful, fully equipped cottages and villas, a delicious on-site restaurant, and all the amenities and services you would expect from a high-end resort.
On September 1, 2019, Hope Town was directly impacted by Hurricane Dorian, with sustained winds of 185 mph. The result of this was devastating to the island. Firefly lost two of our beloved 4b/4b villas: Sweet Tea and Georgia Peach. Our outside dining and bar area, as well as the dock, also suffered severe damage.
However, there is good news! Over the past few years, we have been hard at work. Power has been restored to the resort. Our brand-new dock, as well as the outside bar and dining deck, has been rebuilt. Plans to rebuild the two villas will commence in the future. We are committed to rebuilding and refining Firefly Sunset Resort to its former glory!
Our family-friendly resort has become one of the favorites in Hope Town, so much so that often, when our guests check out from their stay with us, they book their next stay with us before they leave.
