Wyannie Malone Historical Museum

Discover the rich history of Hope Town by visiting our only museum featuring the journey and life of Wyannie Malone, the South Carolina widow who founded Hope Town in 1785 following the American Revolution. Malone was one of many British loyalists who sought refuge in the Abaco Islands. Even today, most of the islands’ longtime residents can trace their heritage to British ancestry.
